Building Engineer

About the Role:
The Building Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties. This individual will work closely with asset and property management teams to identify and resolve maintenance issues, manage vendors and contractors, and oversee the maintenance of building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance tasks.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
• Conduct daily property inspections to identify potential issues and report them to senior asset managers and property managers.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors to negotiate service contracts and minor construction projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory levels.
Requirements:
• Minimum three years of general maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
