Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Part-Time Server to join our team at the Top of the East, a premier cocktail lounge located on the 15th floor of our hotel. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and friendly service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Know the menu and be able to speak to ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Suggest wine and beverage pairings to enhance the dining experience.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare itemized checks and accept payments.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the lounge and restock items as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including setting up and clearing tables, escorting guests to tables, and participating in lounge programming.
  • Check the identification of patrons to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcohol.
Qualifications
  • 6-12 months of related experience, preferably in fine dining or hotel bar settings.
  • TiPS certification required (will be provided by the hotel within the first month of employment).
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
