Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at the Westin Portland Harborview. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and serving beverages and meals.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, and wines, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, balancing sales receipts and reporting tips.
  • Monitor seating and ensure all guests are served in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu, including drink recipes and ingredients.
  • Participate in inventory management, ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
Requirements
  • 6-12 months of related experience, preferably in a fine dining or hotel bar setting.
  • TiPS certification required (will be provided by the hotel within the first month of employment).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures.
