Position Overview:

The Cybersecurity Analyst II plays a pivotal role in overseeing and executing the IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives within the organization. This role necessitates close collaboration with business stakeholders and junior cybersecurity professionals during vendor negotiations and assessments. The incumbent will conduct Vendor Risk Assessments (VRA) and Application Risk Assessments (ARA) in alignment with industry best practices such as NIST and ISO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and categorize Information Security Risks
  • Engage with business stakeholders to identify and alleviate security vulnerabilities
  • Provide ongoing support to Business Stakeholders as directed by the Security Assurance ticketing system
  • Investigate and stay informed about emerging information security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Conduct various risk assessments under the supervision of the Director of Information Security, including but not limited to HIPAA and PCI/DSS
  • Assist in the selection and deployment of tools that enforce or monitor adherence to information security policies and standards
  • Offer after-hours support for security event monitoring and incident response
  • Demonstrate teamwork by effectively collaborating on assigned tasks
  • Work in conjunction with IM leaders and staff to achieve corporate objectives
  • Document and report all incidents/events through approved channels
  • Escalate issues as necessary
  • Contribute to the formulation of the security strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or PMP are preferred
