Patient Care Associate

Responsibilities- Assists with cardiopulmonary resuscitation under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Accurately documents patient care activities and data using appropriate forms and information systems.
- Performs daily living tasks such as bathing, feeding, hair, skin, and oral care for patients.
- Reinforces teaching on self-care activities and patient transitions.
- Administers vital sign measurements, enters data into computers, performs aseptic techniques, collects specimens, applies heat/cold applications, provides respiratory therapy, and assists with post-mortem care.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Paid or practicum experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, good public relations skills, and good bedside manner.
$45,000 - $55,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
Benefits- Frequent physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, carrying objects, pushing/pulling, twisting, bending, reaching forward/reaching overhead, squatting/kneeling/crawling, wrist deviation, pinching/fine motor activities, keyboard use/repetitive motion, taste/smell.
- Occasional physical demands include occasional heavy lifting.
- Continuous physical demands include talking/hearing.
