Position Overview

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Psychologist to join our esteemed Department of Pediatrics. This role focuses on the psychological aspects of pediatric health, particularly in relation to diabetes and Disorders of Sex Differentiation (DSD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized health psychology services within a clinical environment.
  • Engage in consultation and collaboration with subspecialty physicians.
  • Work effectively with diverse pediatric populations, emphasizing behavioral management strategies for diabetes and DSD.

Academic Appointment

The successful candidate will hold an academic position at the rank of clinical assistant or associate professor, depending on qualifications and experience. While the primary focus of this role is clinical, there will be ample opportunities for research and teaching, which are highly encouraged and supported.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in clinical child psychology, including completion of an APA-accredited internship, and must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee. Specialized fellowship training in child health psychology is also required.
