Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist II to join our team at St. Peter's Hospital. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing all CT procedures in accordance with department standards. This is a full-time position working on the weekend track, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to the coordinator and/or radiologist.
Instruct patients on the nature of the exam being performed and effectively communicate information regarding post-procedures.
Ensure proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers, and self.
Responsible for understanding the ALARA program and actively participating in the dosimetry program.
Effectively complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements.
Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and other equipment necessary to provide safe, accurate, and complete exams.
Assist in the instruction of new personnel.

Requirements:

AAS degree in Radiologic Technology
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
Current ARRT registration, NYS license required, and certification to inject
Experience on Siemens equipment preferred
