Location: Primarily at the Cancer Center with weekly travel.

Summary of Role:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will deliver nursing care to patients in a physician practice setting, adhering to established standards and practices in compliance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering patient care under the supervision of medical professionals.
  • Preparing patients for consultations and updating medication histories.
  • Executing patient-related tasks as instructed by healthcare providers.
  • Facilitating communication of clinical advice to patients via electronic means or phone.
  • Ensuring all necessary medical records are accessible prior to patient visits.
  • Collaborating with team members to enhance patient service quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.

Experience: No prior experience required.

Licensure/Certification:
Current LPN license in South Carolina or a valid compact/multi-state license. Must possess a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Skills and Competencies:
Strong focus on patient-centered care, effective communication skills, ability to build relationships with patients and colleagues, and capacity to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of safety protocols and record-keeping skills are essential.

Work Environment:
This role involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. You may encounter exposure to various health-related risks typical in a healthcare setting.
