Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Charleston County Adult Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Job Summary:

The LPN will deliver quality care to patients, providing monitoring and reporting changes to medical staff as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a systematic approach to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and documenting actions in the MAR and medical records.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of teaching plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Care for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing/bandaging.
  • Administer medications to offenders.
  • Monitor and report changes to medical staff.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in South Carolina.
  • Possesses an active CPR certification.
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
