Healthcare Operations Specialist

About the Role:
Duty First Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Healthcare Analyst to join our team. As a company founded by service-disabled Veterans, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and high-quality results to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with project stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Apply complex healthcare operations concepts to daily tasks and projects.
- Work directly with clients to gauge their needs and propose solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong conceptual and written communication skills to communicate with various stakeholders.
- Provide quality assurance and analytical support for systems development projects.
- Assist team members with conducting research and analysis.
- Draft high-quality and error-free briefings, reports, and other deliverables for clients.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and evaluate requirements documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Develop educational materials to inform stakeholders on various topics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the program to promote process improvement and efficiency enhancements.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of professional working experience (can include a professional internship).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to produce consistent, insightful, high-quality work against tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to work on tasks requiring analysis, writing, and planning activities with limited guidance or oversight.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
- Experience crafting reports, briefings, and other communications.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience working with federal government projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Affordable Care Act is preferred.
