Job Responsibilities:
- Takes vital signs and records information on a medical chart
- Assists with lab specimen collection
- Transports patients to and from operating rooms, laboratories, and examining rooms
- Assists patients with mobility needs
- Communicates patient needs to nurses and doctors
- Aids patients with medical device use
- Updates relief workers on unusual situations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of operating room or patient care experience in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire
