Job Title: Outpatient RDN

Adventist Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient RDN to join our team in Bakersfield, California.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring outpatient nutrition counseling services, including nutrition assessment and screening, development of personalized nutrition and diet plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and screenings to identify patients' nutritional needs and develop tailored plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, nutrition, and wellness.
  • Conduct and coordinate outpatient nutritional counseling sessions and services, adhering to ADA Medical Nutrition Therapy and other relevant protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including client charts, participation data, and communication logs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent required; Master's Degree preferred for eligibility for examination beginning on or after January 1, 2024.
  • Experience as a Clinical Dietitian or Registered Dietitian (RD) within 6 months of completion of residency program required.
  • Dietetic internship or its equivalent required.
