Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document them in the medical record.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety.
  • Effectively communicate with staff and peers.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self using ALARA standards.
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients and families prior to each exam.
  • Assist in the training of students and new hires.
  • Maintain competency in all assigned areas, including fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic, and operating procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (180 days required).
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (upon hire required).
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (upon hire required) or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross (upon hire required).
