{"Responsibilities": "Key Responsibilities

As a Radiology Tech at Ascension, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with procedures and providing diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
  • Preparing and positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observing patient during procedure and reporting abnormal activity. Monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Preferred 1 year of radiology experience or RCIS/RCES certified.
