The Role

As a Project Engineer at Veev, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's field construction division. You will be responsible for recording issues, RFIs, and driving them to resolution, supporting field teams as problems arise, reviewing and approving plans and specifications, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submittal Management: Prepare, review, forward, and track the status of submittals, RFIs, design changes, and issues.
  • Plan Review and Distribution: Review, approve, and distribute plans to field teams.
  • Site Support: Support superintendents through execution and problem resolution.
  • Shop Drawing/Submittal Coordination: Coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
  • Job-Site Safety: Monitor and document job-site safety and accident prevention.
  • MEP Systems Coordination: Coordinate and resolve MEP systems issues.
  • Project Coordination: Participate in and document project coordination meetings.
  • Subcontractor Supervision: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors' field installations.
  • Research and Development: Research and suggest options on construction means, methods, and equipment.
  • As-Built Plans: Review, create, and maintain As-Built plans.
  • Quality Control and Project Closeouts: Conduct quality control and project closeouts.
  • Meeting Support: Attend meetings, take meeting minutes, and distribute minutes.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management Required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer.
  • 3-5 years of construction experience required.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to use Procore, BIM360, Bluebeam, Raken, AutoCad.
  • Proficient in using Primavera Scheduling, Claim Digger, and Microsoft Software.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Presentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying data quality issues.
  • Results-oriented and able to complete tasks on deadline with little supervision.
  • Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment.
  • Up to 25% travel.
