Position Overview:

Appliance Service Technician - Candidates must reside in or near Asheville, NC - This role includes collection responsibilities - Sign-on bonus of $1,500

Are you a skilled technician who thrives in a hands-on environment? Our Appliance Service Technicians are responsible for performing mechanical repairs on washers and dryers at various customer locations within their designated area. These technicians ensure that our equipment operates efficiently to meet customer satisfaction and minimize service interruptions. The ideal candidate is independent, possesses strong mechanical skills, and is committed to delivering quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and Maintenance: Execute diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on appliances including washing machines, dryers, and air-vending machines, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks to enhance appliance performance and longevity, including cleaning, lubrication, parts replacement, and necessary adjustments.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing clear information about repair and maintenance processes. Offer guidance on appliance usage and care to prevent future issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of service visits, repairs completed, parts utilized, and other pertinent details. Generate service reports and ensure the internal database is updated with accurate information.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of spare parts and tools, ensuring that necessary supplies are ordered to facilitate efficient service delivery.
  • Safety Standards: Comply with all safety regulations while working with electrical systems and appliances, ensuring personal safety and the protection of customer property during service calls.
  • Responsibilities include 70% collection duties and 30% appliance service tasks.
