Position Summary:
This position involves serving as an Acquisition Policy Analyst within the Department of Defense's Office of the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO). The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in evaluating and interpreting acquisition policies, regulations, and procedures pertinent to digital and artificial intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines associated with digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions, ensuring comprehensive understanding and adherence within the organization.
  • Offer expert guidance and support to acquisition professionals, project managers, and stakeholders regarding compliance matters, policy interpretations, and best practices in digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions.
  • Interpret and apply acquisition policies to inform decision-making processes, procurement strategies, and contract actions related to digital and artificial intelligence projects.
  • Conduct thorough research and remain updated on changes in acquisition laws, regulations, and industry best practices, providing timely recommendations and updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation to regulatory agencies and oversight bodies as required.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and program management teams to devise and implement acquisition strategies that mitigate risks, enhance efficiency, and align with project objectives.
  • Engage in the development and execution of acquisition training programs, workshops, and materials to improve understanding and proficiency in acquisition policy compliance.
  • Review acquisition documentation, including solicitations, contracts, and task orders, ensuring alignment with applicable policies, requirements, and standards.
  • Prepare documentation reviews for various documents, ensuring they are formatted correctly and free from grammatical errors.
  • Support team members in various tasks and initiatives as necessary to achieve the overall mission.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess a Current/Active DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with federal acquisition policies, regulations, directives, and guidelines related to digital and artificial intelligence acquisitions.
  • Proven experience in providing guidance and support to acquisition professionals, project managers, and stakeholders on compliance issues and policy interpretations.
  • Experience in preparing acquisition-related reports, certifications, and documentation for submission to regulatory agencies.
  • Background in developing and delivering acquisition training programs and materials.
  • Experience in reviewing acquisition documentation to ensure compliance with applicable policies and standards.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Capable of transforming conceptual discussions into effective presentations.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage a demanding workload while prioritizing tasks.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, integrity, critical thinking, and leadership qualities.
  • Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint; skilled in MS Teams, Excel, and Outlook.

Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary range of $160,000 to $185,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan with company matching, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, and three weeks of paid time off.

Security Requirement:
Must possess a CURRENT/ACTIVE SECRET security clearance to be considered for this position.
