Position Summary:
As a Controls and Instrumentation Specialist, your role will involve the development, implementation, and troubleshooting of control system philosophies, the selection of instrumentation, and the programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interface (HMI) stations, SCADA, or other control systems for water treatment applications.

Key Responsibilities:
● Utilize design documentation such as Control Logic Diagrams, Shutdown Keys, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Indices, Setpoint Lists, DCS, and PLC Design documents to commission and troubleshoot control systems.
● Develop and/or revise P&IDs, electrical schematics, control documents, and transfer lists.
● Collaborate with clients regarding Instrumentation and Control designs and submitted documentation, understanding and addressing client challenges to determine suitable solutions.
● Conduct factory acceptance tests for control systems alongside clients and their designated representatives.
● Engage in cross-functional collaboration between engineering and service teams.
● Establish and troubleshoot Ethernet-based networks to facilitate remote monitoring and support.
● Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
● An Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or a minimum of 5 years' experience in designing and commissioning instrumentation and control systems in power plants, chemical processing facilities, petroleum refineries, or wastewater treatment plants, with at least 3 years focused on commissioning DCS, PLC, or SCADA Control Systems.
● Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with travel expectations up to 75%.
● Capability to work at remote construction sites, including accessing equipment via ladders and stairs, lifting up to 30 lbs, and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment.
● A minimum of 3 years of experience as an automation programmer (PLC & HMI) is preferred.
● Proficient understanding of fieldbus networks (Controlnet, Devicenet, Foundation Fieldbus).
● Prior experience and knowledge of water treatment systems and equipment, including UF, RO, EDR, EDI, Ion Exchange, pumps, motors, FDA, filtration, and chemical feed systems, is preferred.
● Proven ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to meet all customer site requirements.
