Job Title: Instructional Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide to join our team at Spectrum Center Schools and Programs. As an Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, providing individualized supervision and instruction, and collaborating with core classroom staff to ensure student success.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, utilizing group and individual instruction in the classroom and community.
  • Implement curriculum and behavioral intervention strategies consistent with the IEP/ITP/PBIP to meet each student's goals and objectives.
  • Perform job coaching duties, assisting in the training of students on campus or at community job sites in appropriate work behavior and specific employment skills.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation on student behavior, reporting observations to relevant staff and making recommendations based on observations.
  • Assist in preparation of behavioral reports and daily activities logs as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test.
  • Associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Valid CA state driver's license.
  • Active paraprofessional, paraeducator, teaching assistant, and/or PPS certification preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in an education or classroom setting.
  • Prior experience working with students in a special education program setting preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors.
