Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care and support to campers and staff, including administering medications and responding to medical emergencies.
  • Oversee all medical events and incidents, ensuring that all necessary protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, including first aid and CPR training.
  • Maintain accurate records of medical incidents and provide reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA.

Requirements:

  • Current EMT-B certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center is a 210-acre outdoor education center located in Orange, California. The center features half-day through five-day overnight academic and recreational programming, and our hands-on approach to outdoor education allows participants to explore the outdoors and science while developing creativity, leadership skills, and a respect for the environment.
