Job Title: Environmental Specialist

Join the City of Palo Alto's Office of Sustainability as an Environmental Specialist, a key role in helping the city achieve its environmental goals. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading community engagement, data collection, and progress reporting efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote sustainability and climate action
  • Collaborate with city departments to ensure consistent and professional communication with the community
  • Collect and track data on sustainability and climate action progress
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and processes related to sustainability and climate action
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or a related field
  • Two years of experience in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability and climate change concepts
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
