Job Summary:
The Clinic Nurse is a vital member of our team at Family Allergy & Asthma, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our allergy and asthma clinics. As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will work closely with our healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care and education to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patient rooms and equipment for examinations and treatments
- Escort patients to treatment rooms and prepare them for doctor visits
- Assist healthcare providers with skin testing and other procedures as ordered
- Administer medications and complete documentation in the EMR system
- Perform pulmonary function testing, FeNO testing, and peak flow monitoring
- Provide patient education on medications and environmental control
- Prepare and administer nebulized medication and patient education
- Scan testing sheets and schedule appointments for outpatient procedures
- Administer allergy injections and complete shot room duties
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical area and exam rooms
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure seamless care
Requirements:
- Diploma in Nursing (LPN/RN) with an active and unrestricted TN Nursing License or eNLC multistate nursing license
- 1-2 years of nursing experience in an office setting, preferred
- Previous allergy/asthma experience preferred
- CPR certification required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to travel to satellite offices as needed
Work Environment:
The Clinic Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with moderate noise levels and standard lighting. The employee may be exposed to infectious waste, potential allergens, and diseases. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients and staff is essential.
