Overview:
This role is dedicated to enhancing support for site automation processes and data acquisition systems within PGT Venice's manufacturing operations. Collaborating with operations, engineering, IT, and maintenance teams is essential for effectively managing these systems. The position involves providing direct technical assistance for automation systems and related projects, as well as mentoring and guiding junior Process Automation Technicians and Maintenance Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver immediate support for site automation and data collection systems related to manufacturing and utility operations.

Assist Process Automation Engineering system owners with specialized automation systems (e.g., SCADA, data backups, etc.).

Adhere to site protocols and technical standards concerning automation functions.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives and upgrade projects for automation systems.

Conduct and evaluate predictive maintenance activities (e.g., infrared thermography, vibration analysis, etc.) to identify early signs of equipment issues.

Capable of performing intermediate mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or substantial experience in related positions.

Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing:
automation, controls, electrical/mechanical trades, IT.

Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.

LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Language Requirement – English.

Strong communication and networking abilities.

Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards for automated and electrical systems.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Arithmetic, Algebra, Boolean logic.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out physical and logical troubleshooting procedures.

Ability to interpret controller ladder logic and programming code.

Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certifications in programming and troubleshooting automation systems, including common PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms.

Level I certification in various predictive technologies (e.g., infrared thermography, vibration analysis, etc.).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Software.

Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
