Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team at The Timken Company.

This pivotal role involves collaborating closely on new project launches and process improvements at our Timken Aurora Bearing facility.

As a key member of the team, you will drive efficiency enhancements, workflow optimizations, and system improvements to achieve goals, working in conjunction with multiple operations support teams.

• Provide innovative solutions to engineering challenges in production, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design new machinery and modify existing equipment to enhance production capabilities and efficiency.
• Identify and engage with contractors and suppliers to implement new technologies and cost-effective solutions.
• Lead and coordinate large-scale projects, delegating tasks to engineers, analysts, and contractors.
• Define and champion continuous improvement projects across all production areas.
• Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to achieve optimal cost and quality standards.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste systematically.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.

A strong background in process engineering, equipment design, and continuous improvement methodologies is essential.
