We are seeking a skilled Maintenance of Traffic Inspector to join our team at Intertek. As a key member of our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic during construction projects.
As a Maintenance of Traffic Inspector, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting closures, detours, and traffic control devices to ensure compliance with approved traffic control plans
- Utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams to observe site activities and perform tasks
- Maintaining detailed documentation and data from test results
- Attending project meetings and communicating effectively with clients and project teams
Requirements:
- 1 year of relevant experience with inspections or implementation of MOT plans during the construction phase of highway projects
- Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
- Ability to work off shift and overtime as needed
- Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication
- Must be able to read plans and specifications
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently
Preferred Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- MOT inspections on TXDOT highway projects and Work Zone Traffic Control for Contractor's Responsible Person training certificate
- TEEX Certification
