Key Responsibilities
  • Execute a range of tasks related to receiving, managing, labeling, preparing, showcasing, and sustaining the inventory of resale products.
  • Regularly operate forklifts and may involve order writing tasks at the discretion of store management.
  • Assess shelf space allocation for various products and estimate space needs for new items or increased quantities.
  • Receive supplies, equipment, and various types of resale items in the designated receiving area.
  • Verify shipments by cross-referencing shipping documents, noting discrepancies, and identifying any spoilage, damage, or shortages.
  • Utilize a computerized system for pricing, calculating costs, and determining weights of merchandise.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet qualifications and requirements by the closing date. Relevant experience includes:
  • Understanding stock turnover, shelf space allocation, and customer preferences.
  • Ensuring proper care and handling of grocery items.
  • Assisting customers in locating items.
  • Participating in stock rotation, container stacking, and inventory processes.
  • Operating electric, diesel, or gasoline-powered forklifts.
  • Arranging stock on shelves and in displays.
Physical Requirements:
(1) Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.
(2) Frequently lift or move heavy boxes or crates weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

Work Environment
