CTL Specialist

The CTL Specialist is a critical member of the Cellular Therapy Laboratory team at Children's National. This role requires a strong background in basic science and clinical laboratory settings, with a focus on cell processing and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4-5 years of experience in a clinical lab or GMP/GLP setting. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Routinely perform manual and automated cell processing, cell expansion, and other assays in dedicated lab space, clean room environments, or process development labs.
• Develop and manufacture novel cell therapy products for clinical trials and to treat patients diagnosed with otherwise incurable diseases.
• Lead the training of new staff and collaborate with materials management, quality control, quality assurance, and scientific leads to execute CTL operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in basic science or a related field (required).
• 4-5 years of experience in a clinical lab or GMP/GLP setting (required).
• Supervisory experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with others.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist certification, MT (ASCP) (preferred).
