Vitalant is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Generalist to support laboratory operations and contribute to our life-saving mission.

You will manage reagents, supplies, and inventory, input patient data, and provide exceptional customer service. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a fast-track progression to Medical Laboratory Scientist I in just over a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Special Red Cell inventory and distribution.
  • Offer technical support to hospital transfusion services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and identify malfunctions.
  • Conduct preparation and prequalification of reagents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other 'hard' science meeting the CLIA requirements for moderate or high complexity testing.
  • Previous lab experience preferred.
