Production Operator Job Description

Hamilton Company is a leading manufacturer of precision fluid measuring devices, and we are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine production duties and preventative maintenance to ensure high-quality products.
  • Adhere to product quality standards and procedures to meet customer expectations.
  • Work in a fast-paced production environment assembling medical devices with attention to detail and quality.
  • Interact effectively with support groups and fellow employees to ensure smooth operations.
  • Use hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery to assemble equipment according to blueprint and schematics.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas.
  • Experience using diagrams or blueprints and following written or verbal instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude with good dexterity to use hand and power tools.
  • Able to quality check finished products and send unsatisfactory items to rework.
  • Basic math skills for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small components, and a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions.
  • Proven experience with safe production practices and a stable work history.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion preferred.
