Beginning your journey with Forward Air, you will undergo a comprehensive on-the-job training program under the mentorship of our Operations Manager. This training will immerse you in industry best practices and the core competencies needed to understand the brokerage sector from the ground up, paving the way for career advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct all loads processed by Forward Air through EDI or manual entry methods.
  • Accurately schedule all necessary pick-up and delivery appointments with urgency via various communication channels; address any issues with the account lead as required.
  • Oversee loads on 'Hold' for scheduling complications to enhance Board Management capabilities.
  • Foster strong relationships with customer facilities to optimize loading and unloading processes.
  • Regularly update customer facility information to ensure accurate scheduling details, operational hours, and contact points.
  • Efficiently manage daily departmental tasks, including email correspondence, handling the Operations Department phone queue, and proficiently navigating PowerBroker, customer portals, and Microsoft & Google applications.
  • Serve accounts with a sense of professional urgency, proactively resolve challenges, and continuously seek improvements in operational efficiencies.
  • Support the Operations Manager and the Account Management Team as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to multitask and fulfill responsibilities with urgency, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
