Job Summary:

The Nursing Home Administrator in Training will assist in the daily operations of our skilled nursing facility, working closely with our experienced team to ensure the highest level of care for our residents. This role will provide a comprehensive training program, covering all aspects of facility management, including budgeting, staffing, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in analyzing facility operations and identifying areas for improvement
  • Act as a liaison between the facility, residents, families, and outside community
  • Compile and develop reporting on budget projections, revenue, and expenses
  • Ensure all employees, residents, and families are treated with respect and dignity
  • Monitor industry regulations, laws, and compliance updates, making changes as necessary
  • Use time effectively to study for Federal and State regulations and develop a sound understanding of industry best practices
  • Understand staffing level requirements and adhere to industry and company standards
  • Assist in monitoring and directing execution of policy and procedural changes
  • Actively involved in resolving HR issues and Risk Management situations within the facility
  • Assist in capital improvements
  • Participate in Advisory committees
  • Assist in all safety programs
  • Develop and maintain a stellar reputation within the industry and community
  • Develop relationships with the support team (HR/Therapy/Clinical/Finance) to assist with meeting/exceeding goals
  • Support Clinical efforts by understanding QA measures and holding people accountable
  • Keep abreast of collections and A/R on a daily basis
  • Develop and execute creative ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover
  • Learn to meet and manage budgets, expenses, revenue, and census management for the successful operations of the center
  • Understand how to support/completion of clinical practices within the center, including investigations, clinical meetings, and behavior management
  • Develop and maintain a positive and engaging culture
  • Focus and make decisions based on the core values of Caldera Care
  • Participate in various learning opportunities, such as continuing education, leadership books, and reporting
  • Gradual take over and leadership duties over various departments
  • Complete a 30-day takeover of the center at the end of the assigned clock hours
  • May be required to complete an Assistant Administrator role upon completion of the program for more real-world practice
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university (in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred)
  • Must be willing to move to a facility in our area (WA/ID)

As required by state and local law, Caldera Care provides a reasonable pay scale, including the hourly or salary range that Caldera Care expects to pay for roles they may be hired in Washington, as stated below:
