Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop and maintain specifications, designs, implementations, integrations, and testing of NAVAID products.
- System Requirements: Create, define, analyze, integrate, and maintain overall system requirements, including hardware and software analysis and definition.
- Testing and Validation: Create, define, analyze, test success criteria, use case analysis, test cases, test procedures, integration, verification, and qualification tests, and record test results and author test documents.
- Effort Estimation and Scheduling: Perform effort and schedule effort estimates for current tasks and bids.
- Customer Interface: Act as the technical point-of-contact for Thales customers, communicate status to the project manager and/or project leader regularly.
- System Integration: Contribute to system-level integration in terms of requirements knowledge and expectations, planning, and execution of hardware and software integration, and support configuration management activities for design qualification testing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or another technical field with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or another technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience: Experience working with electrical hardware system design/development and/or test, experience writing technical documentation for complex products, experience managing requirements (e.g., using DOORS), and experience tracking and managing open issues and tasks (e.g., using Jira).
- Skills: Proficient in tracking and managing open issues and tasks, self-motivated, critical thinker with strong curiosity to learn, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and experience with interfacing directly with end customers.
