Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician Opportunity

Position Summary / Career Interest:

The University of Kansas Health System is actively seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) to join our esteemed Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our mission is to provide exceptional and compassionate care to our community, supported by a collaborative and innovative work environment featuring advanced facilities.

Our Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is comprised of five skilled MFM specialists dedicated to delivering comprehensive Maternal Fetal care utilizing the latest technology. The call coverage includes the inpatient High-Risk Pregnancy service, with a manageable rotation of 1 week in 5, primarily phone consultations after regular business hours.

This role primarily focuses on outpatient and consultative services, with deliveries managed by our in-house hospitalist team. The position offers opportunities to perform procedures such as amniocenteses, CVS, PUBS, and fetal shunt placements. Furthermore, our division is deeply involved in research, participating in various NIH-funded studies and institutional collaborations.

Our Center for Advanced Fetal Care is supported by ARDMS certified sonographers, experienced nurse coordinators, board-certified perinatal genetic counselors, medical assistants, and patient service representatives, all working together to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Our Level III NICU is staffed by dedicated Neonatology specialists, further supported by multiple Pediatric Subspecialists, including a Pediatric Surgery team.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship program.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri.
