Job Title: Survey Rodman

Thompson Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Survey Rodman to join our team in New Orleans, LA. As a key member of our survey team, you will provide critical support to our Surveyor Party Chief in the daily responsibilities of the land surveying department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, digital levels, and data collectors.
  • Collect and record survey data, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist in loading and unloading survey equipment from company vehicles.
  • Travel to job sites and stay overnight as required.
  • Conduct all work activities in compliance with Thompson Engineering's Health, Safety & Environmental Management System.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple measurements.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments up to 100% of the time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Required to remain standing for a minimum of eight hours per day and walk long distances.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
