The Automotive Service Center Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing business operations and ensuring store performance, which includes safety, efficiency, and financial accountability. This position emphasizes customer satisfaction, retention, and the growth of both existing and new clientele. Furthermore, the Supervisor is responsible for managing overall operations, including cost control, inventory oversight, environmental compliance, and, most importantly, safety. Strong leadership is essential to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule, and coach team members.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by actively listening and consulting with clients.
  • Follow up with customers regarding services requested and estimated completion times.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide comprehensive recommendations, including creating computerized repair orders and sourcing necessary parts.
  • Discuss pricing estimates with customers while promoting service specials.
  • Lead and train the team in alignment with the company's vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed.
  • Oversee all sales activities.
  • Supervise technicians in the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of various vehicle makes and models.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and manage any inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the facility, adhering to environmental regulations.
  • Update and submit daily sales reports to corporate management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a service environment.
  • General knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Proficient in POS systems and internet applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • NYS Inspector Certification (or willingness to obtain).
