Versatile Medical Assistant (MA)
ARC Health Partners is actively looking for a Versatile Medical Assistant (MA) to enhance our dedicated healthcare team. The MA will be instrumental in providing patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the overall effectiveness of our operations. This position focuses on patient interaction during treatments, guaranteeing safe and effective care while maintaining a consistent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary function of this MA role is to act as a technician for administering procedures within the office. Comprehensive training will be provided by our clinical team. Responsibilities include:
- Accurate documentation of treatments.
- Monitoring and recording patient vital signs and medical histories.
- Managing referrals and tracking patients awaiting future procedures.
- Assisting with prior authorizations and supporting the clinical team for various procedures.
- Facilitating interdisciplinary communication regarding patient experiences and insurance coverage.
- Collaborating with administrative and billing teams to ensure compliance with procedural requirements.
- Providing service-oriented support that is attentive, respectful, and compassionate to all patients and colleagues.
- Performing clerical duties such as answering phones, check-in and check-out processes, appointment scheduling, and patient intake.
- Participating in staff meetings as necessary.
- Understanding insurance benefits, processing patient payments, and assisting the billing team with required information.
- Managing prescription refills and prior authorizations in line with state regulations.
- Maintaining necessary certifications as per state guidelines.
- Striving to meet or exceed established service standards.
- Traveling to various locations as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid MA license in the state of Colorado.
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
- At least one year of experience in the medical field.
- Familiarity with TMS and/or Spravato is advantageous.
- Current CPR certification.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Preferred experience in a clinical or office setting.
- Proficiency in EMR systems.
- Competence in Excel and general computer skills.
