Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team at Pima Medical Institute. As a Medical Assistant Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Medical Assistant program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that meet the needs of our students.
  • Plan and deliver instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and established curriculum.
  • Evaluate student performance and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and grades.
  • Coordinate guest speakers, community service field trips, and visits to clinics and medical offices.
  • Prepare lectures and practical demonstrations for students.
  • Assist and advise students with the Medical Assistant program curriculum.
  • May assist with inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment.
  • May coordinate externships for Medical Assistant students.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or a graduate of an otherwise recognized training entity.
  • Three years of occupational experience as a Medical Assistant or four years of job-related training and experience for instructors not graduates from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current licenses, certifications, or other designations required by local, state, or federal laws to work in the Medical Assistant field.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $26.45 to $34.40 per hour.
  • Colorado Paid Sick/Leave and Public Health Emergency.
