We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Community Health. As a Compliance Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys of long-term care facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site surveys of long-term care facilities to evaluate compliance with regulations.
- Review and monitor facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Evaluate complex medical situations and prepare survey documents under tight deadlines.
- Lead and direct nursing activities in assigned facilities.
- Provide staff development and training to nursing staff.
- Review and monitor facility plans of correction to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate activities with other agencies as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in nursing, nursing administration, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
- A current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Additionally, you will need to be able to travel extensively throughout the state and work occasional weekends and after-hours.
