The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Job Description

As a Post Surgical Acute Registered Nurse at the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a people-first environment and make healthcare better. You will work under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager, coordinating safe patient care delivery for diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • You will assess patient/family needs, develop and prioritize patient goals, evaluate care delivery, and continually revise the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.
  • You will delegate care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes and adhere to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must possess:

  • Current Kansas RN licensure
  • Current BLS certification upon hire
  • Telemetry, ICU, and PCU experience requiring ACLS and Post Surg experience needing Chemo certification within the first year of employment
  • A 2-year degree
  • Specific certifications required within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • A 4-year degree
  • At least one year of recent experience in a similar healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
