Job Summary:

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Mammography Imaging (90%):
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
    • Explain and prepare patients for mammography imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
    • Perform routine and advanced mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support and adjusting scan parameters as needed.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, customers, and colleagues, following physicians' orders precisely and conforming to safety regulations.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Mammography Department Support (5%):
    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
    • Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
  • Additional Responsibilities (5%):
    • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
