Machinist - Conventional Machine Tools Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Sulzer USA Inc. as a Conventional Machine Tools Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of conventional machine tools.
Key Responsibilities- Perform layouts, setup, and operate conventional machine tools to produce high-quality parts and components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, to ensure accurate production.
- Design and implement setup methods to improve efficiency and productivity in the machine shop.
- Instruct and train other shop personnel on proper machining techniques and best practices.
- Continuously improve methods to deliver higher quality products with improved costs.
- Completion of a machinist apprentice program or equivalent training is required.
- Ability to hold close tolerances and conduct component inspections is essential.
- Ability to setup and operate machine tools, including ID/OD Grinders, Turret Lathe, Engine Lathe, Horizontal Boring Mill, Vertical Boring Mill, Radial Drill, and Planer Mill.
- Four years of experience in machine shop operations is preferred.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
