As a key member of the LAO FENG XIANG CANADA team, the Assistant Store Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales, enhancing customer experience, and developing talent. This leadership role requires a strong ability to partner with the Store Manager, lead and develop team members, and drive results to meet and exceed sales plans.

Sales: The successful candidate will be responsible for deepening customer relationships, driving sales, and developing client development activities. They will motivate a group of store employees to consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual store sales plans. Action plans and sales strategies will be implemented to deliver results, and the candidate will organize and lead morning activities to inspire the team and drive business.

Service: As a Brand Champion Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will elevate the in-store experience by consistently delivering memorable moments. They will resolve escalated issues, make customer service decisions, model sales and service behaviors, and coach the team on the LFX selling ceremony. The candidate will supervise the team in utilizing hospitality to create unique experiences and ensure customer expectations are being delivered at all times.

Talent: The successful candidate will continuously train, coach, and provide balanced feedback to employees. They will use recognition and a performance management process to improve team engagement and performance. The Assistant Store Manager will prepare and conduct inspirational meetings to align individual behavior to organizational goals and initiatives. They will also network and recruit to build a talent pipeline and participate in the selection and interview process.

Operations: The Assistant Store Manager will ensure exceptional operational support to drive sales and service. They will manage all operational functions and reporting to ensure efficient back-of-house and operational procedures. Compliance with all internal control procedures will be ensured.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of management experience in retail or luxury retail or relevant customer-related experience.
  • Experience in sales generation and managing the achievement of sales results.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven ability to develop new opportunities and maintain client relationships while ensuring brand recognition.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, client tracking systems, and Point of Sales (POS) system.
  • Flexibility to work in various roles based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A college/university degree.
  • Graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work is preferred.
