Job Summary:

As a Critical Care Nurse at Avera, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Critical Care Unit. With a focus on compassion, hospitality, and stewardship, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide exceptional care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, coordinate, and implement patient care specific to the age of the assigned patients to ensure quality care is provided in a safe and efficient manner.
* Triage and initiate accurate and ongoing assessments of physical and psychosocial problems of patients of all ages within the critical care system as evidenced by written documentation.
* Demonstrate independent performance that is consistent with the mission and goals of the Critical Care Unit and the hospital.

Requirements:

* Associate degree or above in nursing.
* Six months RN experience required to work in the Critical Care Department.
* One-year experience with cardiac monitoring is preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:

* Current Iowa RN license.
* BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting within 1 year of employment.
* Basic Coronary Care certification preferred.
