About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technician Assistant to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in supporting our technologists during procedures, ensuring the best possible diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist technologists, patients, and radiologists during patient arrival and exam procedures to enhance throughput and expedite diagnosis.
  • Evaluate patient prescriptions to ensure proper exams are performed, and assist in obtaining corrected orders when needed.
  • Assist with ordering, changing, and completing Cerner functions.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and perform exams with technologists as needed.
  • Upload outside imaging and reports, and assist with patient lay letters.
  • Clean exam rooms and restock supplies at the end of each shift.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience working hands-on with patients in a Radiology setting is desired.
Working Conditions

This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to dirt, odor, noise, and human waste. A reasonable accommodation may be made to assist individuals with disabilities.
