We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technician Assistant to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a vital role in supporting our technologists during procedures, ensuring the best possible diagnosis and patient care.
Responsibilities- Assist technologists, patients, and radiologists during patient arrival and exam procedures to enhance throughput and expedite diagnosis.
- Evaluate patient prescriptions to ensure proper exams are performed, and assist in obtaining corrected orders when needed.
- Assist with ordering, changing, and completing Cerner functions.
- Prepare patients for procedures and perform exams with technologists as needed.
- Upload outside imaging and reports, and assist with patient lay letters.
- Clean exam rooms and restock supplies at the end of each shift.
- Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- High school diploma and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Previous experience working hands-on with patients in a Radiology setting is desired.
This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to dirt, odor, noise, and human waste. A reasonable accommodation may be made to assist individuals with disabilities.
