About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Participate in Board meetings and contribute to the development of our strategic plan.
  • Engage with at least one committee and contribute to the work of the organization.
  • Commit to a time investment of approximately 10-15 hours per quarter.
  • Make a personal contribution or fundraising efforts to meet the organization's give/get requirements.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of strategic leadership experience, preferably with board experience in national or international nonprofits based in the U.S. Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 7 years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven ability to drive strategic growth and development.
  • A deep understanding of the arts and their potential for social impact, aligning with Opus 1 Foundation's mission.
  • The ability to build and maintain a network of resources, including funding, expertise, and strategic partnerships.
