Position Summary:
As a Cardiac Monitoring Specialist, you will perform essential patient care and cardiac monitoring tasks in alignment with the goals and values of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Continuously assess and accurately monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff.
  2. Initiate telemetry monitoring efficiently and document rhythm strips during patient admission and discharge, as well as every four hours or upon any rhythm change.
  3. Customize alarm systems for individual patients as necessary.
  4. Prepare telemetry equipment and maintain cleanliness in accordance with safety protocols.
  5. Regularly evaluate patients on telemetry at designated intervals.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address patient and family educational needs, ensuring understanding of discharge instructions.
  7. Maintain reliable attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of 50% of the validation profile within the first year and 100% within two years is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or passing an arrhythmia test with a score of 80% or higher within three months of hire is required.
