Job Summary

Moultrie Dental Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care and ensure patient safety.

  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology, such as iTero 3D scanners and digital photography.

  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts and OSHA/CDC guidelines.

  • Utilize Dentrix software for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment.

  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed to ensure seamless operations.

  • Collaborate with the dental team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.

  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, as required by state dental practice acts.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.

  • Dentrix or other dental software experience.

  • Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation, with the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
