Eye Care Specialist Opportunity

At UMPhysicians, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Eye Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Eye Care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our ophthalmologists and optometrists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record patient history and perform visual assessments in accordance with JCAHPO guidelines
  • Assist with testing, including visual fields, pupillary assessments, and supplementary testing
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with minor procedures and administer eye drops as needed
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements:
  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification
  • Two years of clinical experience in ophthalmology
  • Ability to obtain Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification within two years of hire
