At Amazon, we're committed to innovation and excellence in our Prime Air program. We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and assist in the maintenance and routine service of our remote controlled devices.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical skills, electrical integration skills, and assembly experience. You'll work independently in a highly collaborative environment as part of a larger development effort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and routine service of remote controlled devices
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Work with minimal supervision and ambiguity

Requirements:

  • Mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
  • Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical, software
  • Experience in installation of sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files
  • Able to perform precision work with hand tools
  • 2 years experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software issues in industry or military
  • Valid Driver's License and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the year

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Linux
  • Familiar with Python or other scripting languages
  • Experience creating CAD files based on loose specifications
  • Excellent business communications, analytical, and reporting skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $145,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
