Job Title: Assistant Station Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Station Manager to join our team at Atlas Air. As a key member of our station operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ground and cargo operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and coordinate station operations to achieve performance, safety, and regulatory compliance goals.
  • Oversee and manage compliance of established operational procedures and guidelines to provide a safe work environment.
  • Strive to achieve station on-time performance goals and monitor staff training requirements.
  • Partner with the Station Manager to achieve operational and administrative objectives.
  • Establish safety goals and initiatives and ensure airport SIDA rules and policies are complied with.
  • Act as a communication conduit to resolve problems and respond to special requests.
  • Assist with oversight on flight-specific requirements and manage PPE and aircraft inventory.
  • Write and submit reports as directed and respond to staff and customers' questions, problems, requests, and/or complaints.
  • Partner with the Station Manager to meet with customers and vendors on a regular basis to discuss potential problem areas and the entire scope of the Company.
  • Collaborate with the Station Manager in station-related problems arising from vendors or service providers.
  • May assist the Station Manager in attending meetings with the airport authority, regulatory bodies, and other airport stakeholders as requested.
  • Support the Station Manager in driving station performance and regulatory compliance through effective oversight and engagement.
  • Perform additional duties delegated by the Station Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in passenger and/or cargo operations, including customer service and supervisory experience.
  • Must be qualified in all areas of Passenger and/or Cargo operations.
  • Special Demand: Must have the ability to understand and use Microsoft Office software, specifically in database, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Must be able to motivate and lead staff through a project from concept to completion in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and complete difficult matrices to ensure all tasks are followed through from start to finish.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform all aspects of Ground and Cargo Ops, including Loadmaster, handling hazardous materials, de-icing, fueling, catering, security, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to work varied hours and holidays.
  • Ability to meet the demands of varied responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Computer skills working with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
  • Applicants are required to successfully pass company initial and annual recurrent training in areas of load planning, Weight & Balance, and aircraft handling.

Salary Range: $67,500 - $91,500

Additional Information: Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors, including location, relevant experience/level, and skillset.
